Nzakomba Daniel Vita Isakongo: Guitar, vocals Phely Vita Isakongo: Bass, vocals Ropert McKenzie: Percussion Laurence Ash: Drums The cultural mish-mash that makes up Gloucester City's music scene produces a truly explosive band when a Congolese guitar virtuoso and his south African wife joined forces with a city-raised rock drummer and Rasta percussionist. Funking up the masses with uplifting soukouss & reggae sounds, injecting a much needed African blast into the music scene. Daniel Isakongo shows off his incredibly dextrous & dynamic tune structures, creating addictive, intoxicating guitar melodies and rhythms. Phely twists, swivels & back flips, through a series of dazzling Township dance moves, and provides sweet understated harmonies to Daniel's vibrato-edged vocals. Ropert and Laurence's taut breaks and tribal energy make it unstoppable. . |
