May Day Event - this years Theme 'Forests &
Fantasy'
Malvern
Fringe May Day will be held in Priory park on the 1st May 2010.
This years theme is Forests and Fantasy.

We are working with Malvern Community Forest (MCF) who will be bringing
300 saplings to create a magical forest in Priory Park.

below for details and aims of MCF)
There will be characters from children's fantasy stories such as:'Alice
in Wonderland, Narnia and Tolkien's tales of the Hobbits'. Curious
Company will be there with stilt walkers creating a Mad-Hatter's Tea
Party and croquet with flamingo's. Perfect Circle Theatre
Co are bringing a range of characters from Alice & the Mad Hatter
to Corpse Bride & Willy Wonka! It all sounds fantastic.

"Malvern
Community Forest's mission is to establish and maintain a woodland and centre
for the educational, health and environmental benefit of the local and wider
community, providing ecological and craft knowledge, recreational places
and areas for the conservation of indigenous flora and fauna, including threatened,
rare and endangered species."
Malvern
Community Forest (MCF) will be bringing along 300 saplings to create a magical
forest within Priory Park. On the day their aim is to encourage people to
buy the trees and plant them around the Malvern area. MCF are trying to raise
enough money to register as a charity, they are nearly there, but require
£1300 more to comply with the charity Commission criteria.
